We are so excited to bring together the community on Halloween for a second time, in the most beautiful valley Santa Barbara has to offer! Park Social's Fields of Funk is back! This year the utopian day festival with live performances, food trucks, clothing vendors, art installations, full bar, silent disco, and a roller skate rink will be bigger and better! Bring some lawn chairs and blankets up to Elings Park and enjoy the day grooving on the field surrounded by the ocean breeze!

Channel Tres
Channel Tres aka Sheldon Young is a songwriter, rapper, singer, DJ, and producer whose output as a collaborator and headlining artist has ranged from left-field pop to house music heavily inspired by the form's Midwest originators. His music style blends experimental hip-hop, west coast hip-hop, and Detroit techno. Involved in music at a young age, he began with drums, and continued on until he eventually returned to the West Coast to pursue his calling. Among Young's first major moves were credits for behind-the-scenes work on Bridge's "Break the Rules" and DUCKWRTH's An XTRA UUGLY Mixtape.

Franc Moody
Listening to London band Franc Moody’s songs you'll hear salt shakers and mugs, dripping radiators, the sound of someone zipping their flies, and their own family playing strings. It's this kind of DIY sound design and attention to detail that has made the new London duo such a curious and captivating proposition. Franc Moody's sound is contemporary funk, awash with electronic inspiration, human touches, and throbbing grooves. Like Daft Punk and Jamiroquai before them, they draw from the sounds, styles and techniques of funk, disco and soul while simultaneously threading in electronic influences of the here and now. And over their short lifespan as a band they've shown a masterful knack for creating rich and textured bangers, like "Dopamine" (which has amassed over 2 million streams) and "Dance Moves" (over 1 million streams). Franc Moody see themselves as a collective, and have countless members once you include the musicians, guest vocalists, producers and animators that all play a part in contributing to their music and live performances that have gained a cult following.

Drama
DRAMA is the multicultural collaboration between producer Na'el Shehade's chic Chicago house-infused production style, and vocalist Via Rosa whose soulful delivery is inspired by the improvisational nature of jazz and playful patterns of hip-hop and bossa nova. The duo play to the complementary dynamics of their unlikely pairing by blurring the lines between R&B and dance-pop, heartbreak and bliss. Since a chance meeting in 2014 leading to the creation of DRAMA, the duo has bootstrapped a subtle rise on their own terms, self-releasing several EPs and mapping multiple tours with Midwestern grit. In early jam sessions the chemistry was clear; Rosa's soulful delivery interlocked with Shehade's chic Chicago house-infused production style. A lovesick sound emerged over two EPs, Gallows in 2016 and Lies After Love in 2018, and continued on to their debut album Dance Without Me in January 2020.

Festival Guidelines
o DON'T apply full-face makeup that makes you unrecognizable. We've got to be able to recognize that face on your ID to let you in-otherwise. How do we know it's really you?
o DON'T bring weapons or weapon accessories.
o DON'T include violent props. This includes crops, whips, ropes, chains, metal spikes or tethers.
o DON'T wear giant blow-up suits or props.
o DON'T incorporate offensive slogans or themes.
o DON'T wear Native American headdresses. We say it time and time again: It's cultural appropriation, so don't do it.
o DO get imaginative. As long as you're dressing within the guidelines, you're good to go!
o DO make it comfortable. When picking your costume, keep in mind mobility and stamina-as well as on/off ease in the bathroom. Trust us.
o DO get spooky. Ghosts, ghouls, skeletons -you name it!
o DO make sure you have a sturdy costume. We recommend testing out wearing your costume while dancing before heading to the event.
o DO bring a jacket. Halloween tends to get a tad chilly at night, so we recommend incorporating a jacket (or cloak, cape, etc.) into your costume.
What Can I Bring?
Bags will be checked. Although we are allowing outside food and drinks, remember the amount should fit in a medium size backpack, purse, day sack, etc.
Parking Information
Parking passes will be available for purchase upon arrival. Parking passes are limited and will be given on a first come, first serve basis. We highly suggest using a ride share option, or arrange to carpool with other Fields of Funk goers.
Parking will be $10. Credit card only.
Rideshare
Rideshare is highly suggested as parking is extremely limited. If you must drive, carpooling is highly suggested.
Please do not drink and drive. If you are planning to drink, arrange a rideshare.
