Meet the Artists

On our Main Stage

Boom Box

Electronic rock duo BoomBox, consisting of brothers Zion Rock Godchaux and Kinsman MacKay bring heavy organic grooves and soulful beats that penetrate through the dancefloor, and on to all facets of the human experience. Founded in Muscle Shoals, AL in 2004 by singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Zion Rock Godchaux, BoomBox has grown and evolved alongside loyal fans across the globe. At the same time, the San Francisco Bay Area native stays true to the vibrations that have been moving bodies on the dancefloor since the beginning.

BoomBox has a signature type of groove rooted in a back-beat driven style, wrapped around smooth vocals and original lyrics. BoomBox songs also pull from a wide range of genres to cultivate a fusion of music that appeals to a broad audience. “The sound is about pulling from anything that you’d hear coming out of a boombox, and distilling into a distinctive style,” explains Godchaux. It’s this formula that gives BoomBox the unique ability to connect with any crowd regardless of age or origin.

STRFKR

Since forming in 2007, STRFKR have been perfecting a style that hides emotional complexities and existential searching in hyper-catchy, melody-forward pop music. The band’s spiritual and philosophical undercurrents never outshine their highly danceable sounds, but both are integral parts of what they do. Over the years and through the course of a discography that includes not just multiple studio albums but a wealth of fan-focused auxiliary releases, STRFKR’s combination of thoughtful lyricism and party starting hooks have made them a consistent success with critical music listeners and show-goers. They’ve played festivals like Coachella and Outside Lands, wowed audiences on impressive stages the size of Red Rocks, toured through Asia, Europe and Mexico. With a diverse catalog that reaches back almost 15 years, STRFKR’s live show is still where a good amount of the magic happens, as each of their albums has no shortage of crowd favorites and verifiable hits.

Fleetmac Wood

Since 2012, DJs Roxanne Roll and Alex Oxley have been hosting their tunnel-visioned event and celebrating the extensive back catalogue of Fleetwood Mac. With a curated and created assortment of remixes and edits they’ve shared their passion with like-minded hedonists at some of the best festivals and clubs in the world. Glastonbury to Robot Heart (Burning Man), from fabric London to Kantine am de Berghain.

On our RDA Stage

Walker & Royce

For Sam Walker and Gavin Royce, their innate dance floor intuition, combined with years of experience behind the decks, drives them to create music that isn’t just playable — it’s irresistible. Quirky accents and bouncy synths, previously deeper in the mix, leapt to the forefront, backed by a propulsive new energy. The success of their November 2015 “Bright Lights” remix was a clear indication that they were onto something. Continuing to push boundaries, they have launched their own label Rules Don’t Apply Records, with the ethos just as the name states…No Rules, just good music.

Walker & Royce have spent years honing in on their one-of-a-kind style, meticulously crafting the sounds they want their fans to hear in clubs, at festivals and in their headphones. The result is a cohesive, career-defining body of work that firmly places the duo at the forefront of dance music's future.

DJ Holographic

DJ Holographic is a one-woman funk machine born and raised in Detroit. Her mission is to serve up a mix of musical cuisine that combines House beats, passionate R&B, Hip Hop, unreserved Disco, true Detroit Techno, and Motown. Join her as she concocts her next rhythmic dish. Having spent these past few years traveling the world and playing for crowds in Berlin, London, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, she has thrilled crowds on hallowed dance floors at Smart Bar, Panorama Bar, Output, and beyond. Featured in print by Mixmag, DJ Mag, and more, top tier DJ's such as The Blessed Madonna and Carl Craig sing her praises regularly.

The love, intimacy and realness she brings to her shows has won her a diverse, devoted fanbase and this connection is what ignites and fuels her. “I enjoy being able to interact with my crowd musically and emotionally,” she explains. Her upbeat sound and boundless joy can fill any space, and she feels most at home in intimate spaces akin to Detroit warehouse parties. She celebrates the culture she’s building together with her audience and fellow like-hearted DJs.

Festival Guidelines

o DON'T dress like authentic-looking law enforcement, fire department, or security personnel. While it might seem like a fun idea to mimic the outfits of our Santa Barbara PD, believe us, you won't get far. Allow law enforcement to do their jobs, so everybody has the best and safest experience possible!

o DON'T apply full-face makeup that makes you unrecognizable. We've got to be able to recognize that face on your ID to let you in-otherwise. How do we know it's really you?

o DON'T bring weapons or weapon accessories.

o DON'T include violent props. This includes crops, whips, ropes, chains, metal spikes or tethers.

o DON'T wear giant blow-up suits or props.

o DON'T incorporate offensive slogans or themes.

o DON'T wear Native American headdresses. We say it time and time again: It's cultural appropriation, so don't do it.

o DO get imaginative. As long as you're dressing within the guidelines, you're good to go!

o DO make it comfortable. When picking your costume, keep in mind mobility and stamina-as well as on/off ease in the bathroom. Trust us.

o DO get spooky. Ghosts, ghouls, skeletons -you name it!

o DO make sure you have a sturdy costume. We recommend testing out wearing your costume while dancing before heading to the event.

o DO bring a jacket. Halloween tends to get a tad chilly at night, so we recommend incorporating a jacket (or cloak, cape, etc.) into your costume.

o DO have fun with it!
